Lifesling Clinic

The purpose of The Sailing Foundation's Lifesling Clinic is to practice with the Lifesling crew overboard rescue device. Cruising and racing sailors are encouraged to attend to get comfortable with the use of the gear before they need to use it.

The agenda for the day is an introduction and viewing of our newly produced training video, classroom discussion and demonstration of the gear, dockside practice with rigging the gear and hoisting a "victim" and, finally, on-the-water practice.

The cost of the training, if preregistered, is $10 for members of The Sailing Foundation and the Corinthian Yacht Club, $15 for the general public, and $20 if paid at the door.

You should plan to bring a lunch and your own PFD for the on-the-water segment. If you have a cruising or racing boat with a Lifesling aboard, please let us know if you're able to bring it to the class.

The next Clinic will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2011, at CYC Shilshole Clubhouse, from 1000 to 1500 hours. The clinic will be limited to 25 participants so we encourage early sign-up.

There are two ways to register for the Clinic:
